I have installed the following drivers for my Behringer X32 to interface with my local PC (windows 10)When you make the Behringer Sound card the default sound card for playback & recording on the PC; the PC sound goes away before you enter any DAW (we tried this on Reaper & Acid) and we tried 2 different PCs (Windows 10 and Windows 8.1).So as soon as you select the Behringer as the default card, i.e. Like you were playing a YouTube video, even though you see the meters moving, you have no sound coming through the PC. So we switch back to Microsoft Sound Mapper or our Realtek sound card and then the sound is fine (Even as you adjust the PC sound volume, you would hear a 'ding' sound with Microsoft Sound Mapper but you don't with the Behringer card). Is it something with the interface with the Behringer drivers and the PC sound hardware.Have we identified a potential bug? We are using the integrated sound card in the PCs, haven't tried to purchase a new card.So the issue is 'when you select the Behringer devices as your default sound for playback & recording' do you still hear sound coming from your PC?
You should try it for we don't in trying this with 2 different PCs on two different OS versions.Anyone having this problem? You should try it for we don't in trying this with 2 different PCs on two different OS versions.Anyone having this problem?. @Florian'Where did you connect your headphone or speakers?I connect them to the X32 main or monitor out, set 'AUX remap' to 'card 1-2' in the routing screen, pull up aux 1/2 and main. = Perfect sound. When I set the internal PC sound card as standard device, I get the sound from my PC speakers.
'Thank you, That is the essence of our problem; this is a submix recording. So the X32 is used for Live sound mix for the engineers running the service but the PC with the DAW is used for the recording mix (separate). So in your example above, if you were to set your PC with the Behringer sound card as the default, the PC sound coming out is muted by the Behringer drivers but if you switch back to the internal PC sound card you will get sound hence we can't use the Behringer drivers at all while doing a recording mix/monitoring. That is the problem.
If you are using your X32 monitor out to listen, it would not be separate from the LIVE mix going on.We desire to have a separate submix so that we can record vocalist and musicians live with another engineer during that mix. The Behringer drivers seem to mute the PC sounds and send back to the X32 which in a live mix is not desirable.Desired outcome: to use the Behringer drivers and be about to monitor our recording on our DAW while the X32 is used for the Live sound mix.Unless my PC settings are wrong; when I change the Behringer sound drivers as default for playback and recording; all sound is muted on the PC and that sound may be sent back to the X32That in a nutshell is what I'm fighting againstthx mike. Your PC settings are incorrect. Most all DAWs that I know of allow you to have different input and output sources. For example Reaper allows you to set the input source as the Behringer X-UF card and the output to the PC card.
That will allow you to input the signals from the X32 and monitor the DAW output from the PC card output. May 4, 2015 - In Reaper Device preferences I have selected the following: - Audio system: ASIO - ASIO Driver: ASIO4All v2 - Enable. First: BEHRINGER USB AUDIO 1. The proper set up is to use the dedicated ASIO driver, not ASIO4ALL.
That will allow you to input the signals from the X32 and monitor the DAW output from the PC card output.I am really sure Cubase can't do this, and it is not the professional way doing it.To keep everything in sync, you have to work with one sound system. To solve the initial problem, you can simply route the card in 1 and 2 to any output of the X32 and connect an amplifier. Once you pick the X-USB ASIO driver as the audio device, how do you select a different playback device? I don't see that option, please provide the steps@ FlorianI do have the X-USB on card 1&2 to the X32.

The problem is how do I separate the LIVE sound Mix going on with the services with my separate recording mix coming from my DAW?? We have live sound coming out of the X32 and we need to separate the DAW mix. If we could separate my mix on the X32, we could do that. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks for your advice guysMike. @ Florian,I just did the tests and verified with a Behringer tech that yes the XUSB driver will not playback on my computer for it mutes the PC sound if the default and with some DAWs like Qbase and others it will not allow you once you pick XUSB as the audio device to set a separate audio output like the PC sound card; so, in essence you mute the PC sound when in the DAW. But if I want to monitor my recording, I have to do as you suggest: 'You can e.g. Remap Card 1-2 To Aux 1-2 and then select Aux1 and Aux2 direct out for Aux1 out and Aux2 out.
So you get Card1-2 on Aux out 1 and 2'If I disable the input channel (Aux 1 & 2) from the stereo bus my computer audio will not play through or receive anything from my Live feed going on at the same time. Can you give me some examples or steps on how to do that? Please adviseMike.
